As of October 31, 2000, quotes $2500 or less may be awarded as early as four days after the solicitation issue date on "T" and "U" solicitations that have not been designated for auctioning. Quotes $2500 or less should therefore be submitted as soon as possible on all non-auctioning T and U solicitations.

If this change successfully reduces lead times on awards $2500 or less (micropurchases), consideration will be given to expanding expedited evaluation and award up to $25,000. However, until further notice, awards above $2500 and awards on T and U auction solicitations will not be made prior to the solicitation return date.
