Central Contractor Registration Changes

Central Contractor Registration has added new fields for registration requirements. If you have not completed a registration after January 30, 1998 it would be a good idea to do so. If you click on submit registration and it tells you there is a problem then you should fix it and resubmit the registration. This is a requirement.

• Veteran's Affairs

DLA EBBs Special Information

Each of the DLA centers has their own password scheme. If there is a problem with a registration or a bid we will send you a message. Typically, all you have to do is call the appropriate site, have them clear your password, then submit registration again. If you have bids that have been rejected you will need to rebid those also.

Inspection Acceptance Origin (IAO)

The Cage Code for Packaging and Supplier for items that will be inspected at Origin instead of destination. If you bid destination these are not required.

Qualified Products List (QPL)

The Department of Energy is moving ahead with their GATEC implementation. They are fielding their first supplies quote for 100 units of toner and are training acquisition personnel in Chicago this week. There are new terms and conditions for DOE/GATEC they are listed on the registration page. Simplix is one of only two VANs certified for GATEC with DOE.

More Web Improvements

Bidding from the Email screen now supports the consistent notes that can be entered under client options.

Keywords are now highlighed in email delivered messages if that option is enabled under client options .

Simplix now supports Q, X and T quotes for all three DLA centers. These are both those on the EBB and those that are PDF files. We noticed that DLA had the habit of issuing quotes after the date they were issued. We are now back checking to make sure we find the quotes. Other than a few that have invalid information, bad dates etc. We should be finding all of those for you. If you find some we are missing please let us know.

EMALL

Simplix is working to enable dual support of EMALL and GSA for our clients so that a single catalog entry can be made to cover both systesm.

DLA Invoicing

This is a nice option for those of you selling to the DLA centers. If you receive your POs via EDI you can return an electronic invoice to DFAS. If you are not receiving electronic POs and are receiving paper POs from a DLA center let me know or just fax them the corporate EDI addressing page from the bottom of your client account page and ask them to set you up for EDI.

Two New Features

Two new information pages are now available on your Simplix Client Home Page:

• Public Profile Meassge Report. This page gives you all of your profiling characteristics in one place.
• EDI Addressing and Corporate Information Page. This page is a single page that should have all of the information necessary for any government site to send you EDI messages
